Dark Skies Friendly Award — 2008
On April 2, 2008, Dark Skies president Steve Linderer presented the award certificate to Westcliffe Inn owner Cindy Howard. The enclosed lighting that is directed downward provides the desired inviting illumination of the sign without creating any glare to those driving down the highway nor upward "spill" light that goes into the sky. A wonderful combination for both the business and the environment.
